You can probably always count on Halloween to be the official mark of I-could-use-a-sweater-weather. This is good news for those who want to get a few more days in Barton Springs, but for those who are looking forward to collecting (not sweating bullets as they walk from house to car), the fall doesn’t seem to come. fast enough.

External yoga is a popular offering that you can find in many cities. Most of the time, outdoor yoga is offered free of charge in city parks. In Austin, there is even a group of yogi who walk together to a place where they untie their mats and move and breathe through the led baby practice together. If you are looking to connect to events like this, you can use apps like MeetUp or Eventbrite to search for what is available in your community.

 

 

At My Vinyasa Practice, we offer weekly outdoor yoga classes. These community classes are free in the community! Sometimes we have construction workers working on a new building nearby who appear to be wearing their blue jeans to get in slowly. We like to move together under large oak trees and open sky. You are all welcome! Choose a clean area with minimal distractions. If it is outside in your yard, you may choose soft grass, checking the area where your dog left them. If you exercise on the balcony, you may take a moment to sweep away any debris and clean up any unnecessary clutter.

 

  • Choose a day that works best for your weather and be consistent. This time of day may change depending on the season, but do your best to stay as consistent as possible.
  • Manage expectations. You do not need to exercise for one hour and 5 days a week.
  • Maybe you start with 10 or 15 minutes once or twice a week, and build there.
